MAP12, Castle Eggman Zone Act 3, abbreviated as CEZ3, is the third act of Castle Eggman Zone, the fourth zone in Sonic Robo Blast 2 v2.2. It is a boss fight against the Egg Colosseum in an amphitheater.

Walkthrough

You start in the lower part of the arena. Eggman is located in a cage in the center of the arena, surrounded by spikes, and three rows of maces extend from his cage and rotate slowly around the arena. You must dodge the maces, either by jumping over them or by running alongside them. In the arena there are three buttons, colored of red, blue and yellow, that you have to press to lift the cage and be able to damage Eggman. The button to press is indicated by an arrow. The first time, you'll have to press only one button, then two buttons and, eventually, three buttons. When the cage lifts, the maces lift a bit too and slow down. After hitting Eggman, the cage and the maces lower, and before changing direction and speeding up, the maces briefly stop. Each time Eggman gets hit, the terrain collapses too, revealing more spikes. Note that the terrain that will collapse next is colored brown, unlike normal terrain.

After five hits, the cage will break and Eggman will rise into the air and rotate around the center, near the higher part of the arena. The rows of maces will be tilted downwards but still continue to rotate. The buttons disappear and reveal a spring, that you can use to propel yourself up. The higher part of the level features a series of egg robots, and any player that touches them will get knocked back in the lower part, and most of the time on some spikes. The higher part is high enough to make the player able to jump directly on Eggman. Each time the boss gets hit, he speeds up and changes direction. After three more hits, Eggman will be defeated and an Egg Capsule will rise up in the center of the arena. Step on the Egg Capsule to end the level.
